Open-Top Screw Caps

Provide unique, practical seals that are ideal for chemicals that deteriorate or evaporate in conventionally sealed containers with the Thermo Scientific™ Mininert Valves. Constructed of chemical-resistant PTFE coating, they provide an inert, leak-tight, high-pressure seal. The easy-to-use push button valve allows repeated and unlimited syringe-needle access to samples and eliminates the septum-boring that occurs with repeated puncture of traditional septa. Valves are available to fit Thermo Scientific™ Reacti-Vial™ Small Reaction Vials and Thermo Scientific™ Screw Cap Septum Vials.

Use Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 11 mm Crimp Caps with crimp vials that have an 11 mm opening, including our SureSTART 2 mL Glass Crimp Vials (Level 1). Select Level 1 caps for chromatography approved, cost optimized products that are suitable for everyday analyses and compatible with all instrument types. Choose from aluminum caps with silicone/PTFE or rubber/TEF septa of various hardness values designed to reduce autosampler needle issues. Use Thermo Scientific™ Manual or Electronic Crimpers and Decappers for easy application and removal of crimp caps.

Use Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 11 mm Snap Caps with snap vials that have an 11 mm opening, including our SureSTART 2 mL Glass Snap Vials, 1.5 mL Total Recovery Glass Snap Vials, High Recovery Glass Snap Vials, and Glass Snap Microvials for <2 mL samples (Level 3). Select Level 3 products for ultimate performance and sensitivity from your methods, while maintaining the highest levels of sample security and integrity. Choose from soft polyethylene caps with double snap functionality that guarantees a tight seal. Our snap caps include all-purpose silicone/PTFE septa of various hardness values designed to reduce autosampler needle issues. Pre-slit septa options are available for those who want septa that prevent vial-overfilling issues and re-seal well enough to avoid sample evaporation.
